ITV (MOT)

An ITV (pronounced "ee-tay-oo-vay")is the equivalent to an MOT in England and is required by Law, ITV stands for “Inspeccion Tecnica de Vehicles”. A number of checks are carried out on your vehicle to check that it is safe to drive and road worthy. Once your car is 4 years old, you will need an ITV done every two years. Once it is over 10 years old an ITV will be needed annually. For Motorcycles over 5 years old, an ITV is needed every 2 years and for a caravans over 6 years old, an ITV is needed every two years.

Come off the motorway for Benidorm (Levante). Turn left at the big junction just before you enter town, (N332) heading towards Valencia. The test centre is a few hundred metres down the road on the left.

Ondara

A new ITV car testing centre opened on 24th February 2010 in Ondara. It is conveniently placed just off the N332, near the Ondara roundabout near the Pamis turnoff of the Benidoleig road. There are four lanes and the centre is open from 7.00 am till six pm . Bookings can be made by phone on 902 108 368 or via the website on http://www.circuitv.com/index.html
